In 1952, Paint Brush Corporation founder Douglas K. Rose developed a new type of automotive parts cleaning brush. Mr. Rose, a do-it-yourself automobile enthusiast, was dissatisfied with the parts brushes available commercially. The filaments did not stand up to the repeated pounding needed to remove grime, and the pencil-style handles offered a poor grip.

Drawing on his knowledge of synthetic filaments, gained from his years of experience in the paint brush business, Mr. Rose came up with a unique, tapered design using strong nylon filaments. This new tip design, coupled with a barrel-shaped, ribbed handle gave the parts cleaning brush the long-lasting, easy-to-use quality that Mr. Rose was looking for. This new brush -- the Atlasta parts cleaning brush -- became the foundation brush of the new line.
Since the introduction of the Atlasta parts cleaning brush, the Parts Brush Division has continued to innovate.
